Adult treatment services at NWTX Pavillion HospitalWe offer specialized, intensive inpatient services to help people face their pain and deal with obstacles that have robbed their life of meaning. Some of the problems we treat include:

  • Isolation
  • Hopelessness
  • Suicidal thoughts and/or attempt
  • Anxiety
  • Fear
  • Eating disorders
  • Sexual abuse and trauma
  • Self-destructive or self-injurious behavior
  • Aggression, anger or hostility
  • Psychosis
  • Chemical dependency


Treatment begins with a complete diagnosis and evaluation involving:

  • Clinical interview
  • Physical examination
  • Social and psychological assessments
  • Therapeutic and addictions evaluation
  • Treatment and follow-up

A treatment team develops a plan tailored to the needs of each patient and may include:

  • Therapeutic process groups
  • Recreational and expressive therapy groups
  • Nursing groups
  • Medication education
  • Stress management
  • Planning for discharge and follow-up
  • Health and hygiene
  • Chemical dependency/addiction rehabilitation

Following this brief, intensive inpatient treatment period, patients may continue in partial hospitalization treatment or in outpatient treatment with their psychiatrist and therapist.
